Your Role: What You’ll Be Doing
As a Maintenance Team Member – Carpenter, your work will help preserve the quality and appearance of our guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities. This role is hands-on and suited for someone who takes pride in detailed craftsmanship and understands the importance of creating a safe and welcoming space for guests and staff alike.
Your day-to-day duties may include:
- Performing wood repairs, adjustments, and preventive maintenance in guest rooms, lounges, and hallways.
- Constructing and repairing doors, cabinets, shelving units, paneling, and other wooden structures.
- Responding quickly to carpentry-related service requests from various departments.
- Working closely with engineers, supervisors, and team members to complete repair tasks promptly and professionally.
- Following all health and safety regulations while using hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment.
- Keeping an organized record of materials used and maintenance tasks completed.
- Reporting major issues that require external support or structural review to the department head.
What You Bring to the Team
We’re looking for someone who not only knows carpentry but can also work well within a team. Here’s what we’re hoping you bring:
- A minimum of 2 years of hands-on carpentry or woodwork repair experience, preferably in a hotel or commercial facility.
- Familiarity with reading drawings or blueprints.
- Knowledge of safe tool use and handling procedures.
- Physical stamina to handle lifting, bending, and working in tight spaces.
- Basic spoken English skills to communicate with team members and supervisors.
- A proactive attitude — you’re the kind of person who sees a problem and solves it before it grows.
Qualifications & Education
- High school certificate or equivalent preferred.
- Formal training or apprenticeship in carpentry is a plus.
- UAE experience is highly desirable but not mandatory.
